ME 2110
Georgia Tech's mechanical engineering design course, culminating in a semester-long electromechanical competition robot built from scratch.
ME 2110 is a class every mechanical engineering undergrad at Georgia Tech takes. It covers the basics of design and manufacturing for electromechanical systems. Over the course of a semester, teams design, build, and compete with autonomous robots that must complete a defined challenge task.
The robot I built used a MyRio controller, pneumatic cylinders and pistons for actuation, and a variety of power tools for fabrication. The CAD models were built in Autodesk Inventor. The competition videos show the final robot in action.
Hardware: MyRio Controller, Pneumatic Cylinders and Pistons, Various Power Tools
Software: Autodesk Inventor
